Registration for all workshops is on a first-come, first-served basis with payment in full required to reserve your space. Registration for each workshop opens 4 full months before the class, on the 1st of the month. BPQ members are given first opportunity to register for each workshop, then we open the classes to non-members 2 months prior to each workshop on a space available basis.
To sign up as a member, you must have paid your BPQ membership while registration is open to members only. Please note that by signing up as a member, you are committing to work at least 2 shifts at our annual quilt show in November.
Registering for a workshop:
Payment is accepted by check or cash (no deposits or partial payments please). Make checks out to "Block Party Quilters" for the class fee only (do not include any instructor lab fees or kit fees in your BPQ check). Please don't combine checks in case one of the classes you want is already full. If you need to use online bill payment, please contact Lauren for different instructions as your check will not be received if sent to the below UPS store address.
To register for a workshop, once registration is open for that class:
1. Mail your payment to the following secure mailing address. Make sure to include the full suite and Private Box Number (PBN) as it is a UPS store!
700 NW Gilman Blvd #E103B
Issaquah, WA 98027
*Do not mail before the date registration opens for each workshop. Envelopes postmarked prior to the 1st will be returned. Note that the US Postal Service is typically taking 2-3 business days to deliver mail so if our Thursday meeting falls early in the month, your registration may get in faster if you pay in person instead.
2. Or, hand your payment to Education Chair, Lauren Calaby, at any BPQ meeting.
3. You will be notified by e-mail typically within one week of your registration request having been received; notification will include for which class you are registered or your wait lis status. If all classes are full, you will automatically be put on a wait list.
Include the following with your payment:
The class(es) for which you are registering (class date and instructor)
Your e-mail address
If there are multiple workshops offered with the same instructor, indicate 1st choice and if 2nd or 3rd choice is also acceptable.
While we hope that you attend once you have signed up for a class, sometimes life gets in the way. Please see our refund policy here or in the members only section of the website under “Useful Links” and if possible, line up a substitute if you cannot attend.
